Our Next Artist

We’re excited to host our next Summertown salon artist, starting 1st jan ’19.  John Rawling is a local artist who resides in Abingdon-on-Thames.He has been an active member of Abingdon Artists since he retired in 2005.As a former Town Planner, he has a fascination for historic buildings and where better to find a wealth of such building than in Oxford which are reflected in many of his works. He hopes you will enjoy this collection of paintings centred in and around Radcliffe Square, an “area unique in the world” to quote Nikolaus Pevsner. All of the paintings are in Acrylic on board and measure 40x30cm. PLEASE NOTE: EVERY PENNY FROM EVERY SALE WILL GO DIRECTLY TO OXFAM idlewild NEVER ever charge any fees or commissions from any art sales driven from in-salon exhibitions & as a consequence we normally ask you to contact the artist directly but on this occasion as the sales are being donated to  the local Oxfam charity we have offered to collect the monies on John Rawling’s behalf and make the donation.
