Fran and Mark worked on this stunning model for the L’ Oreal Colour Trophy – the longest running artistic platform in hairdressing. The pair showed the 1,500 strong audience the beauty that can be created with the new high lift range of pure blondes from L’ Oreal Professionnel. Condition, shine and the clarity of tones make these latest colours and hues the future of lighter depths of hair.
Directors, Mark Creed and Andrew Hall, shared their vision, artistry and hair know-how with India. Kolkata and Chennai both welcomed packed audiences to see the duo demonstrate the latest Idlewild collection, which focused on the skills of bringing catwalk fashion into the commercial salon’ s repertoire.
Idlewild Technical Director, Mark Creed, took the Idlewild philosophy across China. Travelling to Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, he performed a series of colouring seminars at the bequest of L’ Oreal Professionnel.
After years of careful planning, the newly named Idlewild team gathered to celebrate the inception and adoption of its new identity. Technical Director, Mark Creed, took the team back to the salad days of the business: From the ethos behind the initial brand and it’ s focus on client care, beautiful artistic hairdressing and an innovative approach that broke new ground in ‘ looking after all’.
Our Colour Director Mark Creed has recently returned from an amazing trip to Bangkok where he spent the week sharing his hair colour skills and knowledge.
The tour saw his first three days educating and enlightening the L’Oréal Professionnel Thailand team in the art of hair colour, with a specific onus on in-salon useable techniques. A further two days was then spent working out of the brand’s Bangkok academy, teaching a specially selected group of Thailand’s elite hairdressing professionals.
“It’s fantastic and a true privilege to be able to share my colour ideas and technique innovations with such an enthusiastic, passionate group of hairdressers here in Thailand. The hair colouring market growth in this region is truly vast as is the hunger for new ideas, tips and latest trends, which grows year on year. I don’t think this will be idlewild’s last visit here in Thailand! Mark Creed, Idlewild
“The techniques that I have learnt are really fantastic and all have commercial in-salon application. The work produced by Colour Director Mark Creed during the seminar was truly astounding as was his techniques, technical know-how, and dexterity and colouring skill. A truly inspiring colouring seminar.” Kerksiri Kosapatarapim, Club K Salon Bangkok
Iain Duester & Jo Goldby, represented the Idlewild art team at a fantastic evening of Hair Club Live, where up & coming artists got to showcase their skills with 10 minutes in the chair, salons from throughout the region put teams forward but the loudest cheer came for the idlewild crew.
